Selected work

A closer look at four current projects

Ecommerce, tourism and growth work—each shaped around a different business and customer journey.

Core services

Connected expertise, scoped around what the business needs

Design, search, advertising and ecommerce work better when the decisions support one another — without forcing every service into every project.

You may not need a new website

Improve what you already have when that is the smarter option

A rebuild is not automatically the answer. The useful work may be a focused redesign, a clearer landing page, better mobile usability or a technical fix that removes friction.

A1 can review what should be retained, what can be improved and what truly needs replacing — keeping the scope grounded in the business problem.

Questions business owners ask

Useful answers before you start

How much does a website cost?

The cost depends on the number and type of pages, content, ecommerce or integrations, migration requirements and how much custom work is needed. A1 will scope the work before recommending a build. The future website-cost guide will only publish ranges after Marcus approves the assumptions.

Can you improve my existing website?

Yes. A focused redesign, better page structure, faster loading, clearer calls to action or stronger landing pages may be more useful than replacing everything. The first step is to identify what can be retained and what is holding the site back.

Which website platform should I use?

The platform should fit the editing, ecommerce, integration and support needs of the business. WordPress is a strong fit for many service and content-led sites. Other platforms can make sense when their strengths match the job. A1 will explain the trade-offs rather than recommending a platform by habit.

Do I own my website?

Ownership, hosting, licences and any third-party subscriptions should be clear before work starts. A1’s approach is to keep the content and practical operating arrangements understandable, with access handed over appropriately for the agreed scope.

Can A1 handle SEO as well?

Yes. Search considerations are built into page planning, content structure, technical foundations and migration controls. Ongoing SEO work is scoped separately where it is useful. A1 does not guarantee rankings.

Can A1 manage Google Ads after launch?

Yes. A1 can connect website and landing-page work with Google Ads management, provided the campaign scope and measurement requirements are agreed. The historical page URL remains /google-adwords/, while all visible language uses Google Ads.

Do you work outside Nelson?

Yes. A1 is based in Nelson and works with businesses elsewhere in New Zealand. Video calls, shared review tools and a clear approval process make remote projects practical.

What should your website help the business achieve?

Tell Marcus what you have now, what is getting in the way, and what a better result would look like.
